Terms & Conditions

These terms & conditions apply to all dealings with Tax Recovery Team Ltd of 15 Montpelier Vale, London, SE3 0TA.

Tax Recovery Team Ltd provides services in the UK. Services are offered within all regions and we adhere fully to the laws of the appropriate jurisdiction. Where conflicting laws exist, the laws of England will apply.

Refunds and Cancellations.

You have the right to cancel this service within 14 days – please note the following: –

  • Your right to cancel our service commences the day you book your consultation.
  • Your right to cancel our service ceases when your first consultation commences.
  • Cancellation must be either by email, by telephone or by recorded delivery mail.
  • All documentation should be returned (where provided).
  • Refunds are made against the payment card originally used and can take up 10 days to show on your statement.

if, early in your consultation, it is determined that Tax Recovery Team is unable to assist, or Tax Recovery Team determines quickly that your case is unlikely to succeed, Tax Recovery Team will issue a full refund and terminate the contract. This will be at Tax Recovery Team's sole discretion.

Fees and Charges.

Tax Recovery Team will charge each customer a one-off total fee to cover all our costs in providing the service agreed. This fee includes all administrative duties such as carrying out all checks and searches. This fee also covers the handling of forms and other paperwork as well as associated correspondence.

No further charges will be made subsequent to the initial fee. Clients will receive 100% of any rebate agreed and this will usually be paid by way of a cheque sent from the local council tax authority to the appropriate address and made payable to the council taxpayer at that address.

Communication.

For the purpose of carrying out a service on your behalf, we may contact you via telephone, email or via post.

We may also contact you via any of the above 3 methods with reminders if we are waiting information from you. This will always be done in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You may contact us via the same methods, our contact details are listed on our Contact Page. If we require information from you, we will tell you how we request/require such information to be submitted to us. This will usually be via email, via post or via telephone.

Information taken over the phone or by email will be used entirely to determine whether your property has been placed in the correct council tax band. All data collected will be obtained in accordance with The United Kingdom, the GDPR and privacy Laws of The United Kingdom protects the privacy of individuals in relation to personal data.

We follow strict measures to protect your personal details and your privacy. Any information given over the phone in relation to personal banking will be securely discarded immediately after use. Tax Recovery Team takes appropriate steps to ensure your personal details remain secure. You, therefore, agree that we will not be liable for any such security breaches unless we have failed to take appropriate technical and organisational measures against the unauthorised or unlawful processing or accidental loss, destruction of or damage to your personal information.

All calls we make are recorded for security and training purposes. We may also monitor phone calls to help improve our customer service, to resolve any queries or issues for regulatory purposes, and to help detect and prevent fraud or any other crimes.

For Legal reasons we may disclose personal data to the extent permitted or required under any enactment, by rule of law, order of the Court, as requested by other government law enforcement authority, to enforce our legal rights, to operate our systems properly, or to protect ourselves or our users.

Complaints & Resolutions.

We strive to offer our customers the very best service consisting of polite, informative and professional advice, processing and service. If, however, you feel that the service received was not satisfactory, we urge you to contact us via [email protected]. A representative will assess your complaint and take any relative action on a case-by-case basis. The representative will then contact you with a resolution proposal. If you feel that the resolution proposal is inadequate, the complaint may be escalated to the Director.

In the unlikely event that Tax Recovery Team is unable to satisfy your complaint, you may contact your nearest Citizen's Advice Centre who will be able to advise on the best course of action to take.
